Getting Started

VisualSource creates animated videos showing how your Git repository evolved over time using Gource. Simply connect your GitHub account and select a repository to get started.

How It Works

1. Install the VisualSource GitHub App on your repositories
2. Navigate to your dashboard and select a repository
3. Click "Create Video" to start generating your visualization
4. Wait for processing (usually a few minutes depending on repository size)
5. Download or share your completed video

Video Options

Each video visualization includes:

• Animated file tree showing repository structure
• Color-coded contributors with avatars
• Timeline showing project evolution
• High-quality MP4 output

Notifications

Connect your Slack workspace in Settings to receive notifications when your videos are ready. You can select which channel to receive notifications in.

Scheduler

Pro and Premium plans include automated video scheduling. Configure schedulers to automatically generate videos for your repositories on a regular basis.
