Mask Network is a browser extension that bridges Web2 social platforms with Web3 blockchain functionality. Available for Chrome, Firefox, and Opera, it allows users to send encrypted messages to friends, trade cryptocurrencies and NFTs directly on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), display NFT profile pictures, participate in crypto giveaways, and share encrypted files all while staying on the platforms they already use daily.
The project is built in TypeScript and integrates multiple decentralized technologies including Ethereum, IPFS, Arweave, and GunDB to enable peer-to-peer encryption and data sharing. It handles cryptographic operations for securing user communications and manages blockchain interactions for trading and NFT functionality, positioning itself as a gateway for everyday internet users to access Web3 features without leaving their familiar social media environments.
