MultiversX IDE was a Visual Studio Code extension designed to streamline development of MultiversX Smart Contracts written in Rust. The extension provided integrated tooling and support directly within the editor to help developers build and test smart contracts on the MultiversX network.

The project is now deprecated and no longer maintained. The developers behind MultiversX have shifted their recommended approach, guiding users toward using `sc-meta`, the command-line tool from the SpaceCraft Rust framework, for building and testing smart contracts instead. For developers who still need IDE support, the project recommends complementary VS Code extensions like Rust Analyzer for language features and CodeLLDB for debugging capabilities.
