The developers behind MultiversX have shifted their recommended approach, guiding users toward using `sc-meta`, the command-line tool from the SpaceCraft Rust framework, for building and testing smart contracts instead. For developers who still need IDE support, the project recommends complementary VS Code extensions like Rust Analyzer for language features and CodeLLDB for debugging capabilities.
