AppLock is an Android application lock utility designed specifically for MIUI devices that prevents selected apps from being killed through side-swipe gestures or one-tap cleanup functions. The project is written in Kotlin and operates as an Xposed module, allowing deep system-level integration on rooted or Shizuku-enabled devices. It theoretically supports Android versions 9 through 14 with MIUI 12 and later.
The module works by intercepting the system's app killing mechanisms that are particular to Xiaomi's MIUI interface, enabling users to protect apps they want to keep running from accidental or intentional termination through common MIUI gesture controls and cleanup features. The project is distributed through both stable releases and nightly builds via GitHub Actions, with installations available through the Xposed Modules repository.
