About NeoApplications/Neo-Store
Neo Store is a modern F-Droid client for Android that prioritizes user empowerment and a streamlined user experience. F-Droid is a repository of free and open-source Android applications, and Neo Store provides an alternative interface to discover, browse, and install apps from F-Droid's ecosystem. The application is written in Kotlin and emphasizes minimalist design principles while offering robust functionality.
The client includes features like fast repository synchronization, around 100 built-in repositories, extensive app filtering and search capabilities, and displays top downloaded apps. It offers comprehensive control over repository management, shows reproducible build labels, includes a privacy panel, and supports both light and dark themes with options for high contrast and dynamic colors. The interface is designed around empowering users to easily explore new applications and manage their app sources effectively.
The project is actively maintained and welcomes community contributions, with ongoing development tracked through a public roadmap on Codeberg. Neo Store is available across multiple platforms including F-Droid, IzzyOnSteam, and GitHub releases. The community communicates through Telegram and Matrix groups, and translations are crowdsourced through Weblate, currently supporting numerous languages. The project is licensed under GPLv3+ and represents a continuation of the Foxy-Droid project.
