About ShikOfTheRa/scarab-osd
Scarab OSD is an open-source on-screen display (OSD) software designed for unmanned aerial vehicles, providing a heads-up display interface for drone telemetry data. The project supports an extensive range of flight control software platforms including Betaflight, Cleanflight, iNAV, APM, PX4, MultiWii, and many others, making it compatible with most common drone autopilots and hobbyist flight systems.
The software offers multiple operational modes tailored to different use cases, from traditional GPS-based displays showing altitude, direction, distance, and speed information to simpler configurations that focus on essential metrics like voltage, current draw, signal strength, and flight timers. It also supports specialized modes for ground station monitoring and experimental support for DJI Naza systems. The project is written in C and targets embedded systems like Arduino and Pixhawk boards commonly used in drone builds.
MWOSD NextGeneration serves both racing drone pilots and fixed-wing aircraft enthusiasts who need reliable real-time flight data visualization overlaid on their FPV video feed. The project includes a graphical configurator tool to simplify firmware installation and customization for users without deep technical expertise.
