This Endless Sky plugin introduces the Jibauni, a new playable species, along with the Diba, a robotic faction that serves as their counterpart in the game's universe. The Jibauni are designed around fuel-based mechanics and abilities that slow enemy targets, positioned as a tier-one faction in terms of power progression. The Diba are sentient robots controlled by an escaped artificial intelligence, intentionally balanced to be slightly stronger than human factions but not overwhelmingly so, drawing inspiration from existing robot factions in the game like the Kor Mereti and Kor Sestor.
The plugin has gained significant traction within the Endless Sky community—the Jibauni were successful enough to be merged into the main vanilla game through a pull request, though this standalone plugin version remains available. The project includes custom outfits and ships tailored to the Jibauni's fuel-centric gameplay philosophy, allowing players to experience a distinct faction with unique mechanics compared to the game's human and other existing species.
