This repository contains coursework for the Image Processing and Pattern Recognition course at Ain Shams University, taught by Dr. Mahmoud Khalil and Dr. Hossam Abdelmunim. The collection includes assignments and practical projects that explore computer vision techniques using Python, OpenCV, and Jupyter Notebooks.

The repository features two main projects. The first project implements an advanced lane detection pipeline that processes video input to identify road lanes and calculate their curvature, which is useful for autonomous vehicle applications. The second project develops a vehicle detection pipeline that processes video to identify and track cars in driving scenarios. Both projects demonstrate real-world applications of image processing and pattern recognition by processing video data and overlaying detection results.

The work was completed collaboratively by three students and uses standard data science and computer vision tools, including Anaconda for environment management and OpenCV for image manipulation. The projects showcase practical implementations of detection algorithms applied to driving-related video analysis tasks.
