About aidrecabrera/CentralizedSvene

Centralized Svene is a Java desktop application created for Cor Jesu College to provide centralized access to computer science project materials and assignments. The program serves as a learning tool designed specifically to help students practice Java programming beyond what textbooks alone offer. It functions as a hub for organizing and accessing various programming tasks and projects assigned throughout the semester.

The application uses JavaFX for its graphical user interface and incorporates AnimateFX for animation effects to enhance the user experience. The project includes programming exercises covering fundamental Java concepts such as variables and keywords, operators and decision structures, looping, exceptions, and object-oriented programming with classes and objects. The current alpha release includes completed implementations for weeks five through ten of the curriculum, though some earlier weeks remain unfinished.

The developer describes this pre-release alpha version as "clunky and crammed," indicating it is still in early stages of development with plans for regular weekly updates. The software is configured to run with JavaFX 17.0.2 and requires specific VM options to access the necessary JavaFX modules.
