About aiscy/OwOard

OwOard is a grid-based soundboard application written in Kotlin using JavaFX and TornadoFX frameworks. It allows users to organize and trigger audio clips in a grid layout, making it suitable for content creators, streamers, or anyone needing quick access to sound effects during broadcasts or recordings.

The application is designed to work with virtual audio cables and audio mixers like VB-CABLE and Voicemeeter, enabling users to route soundboard output to streaming software or communication applications. The creator built it after struggling to find an existing grid-oriented soundboard that met their needs, and includes an example GLaDOS soundboard as a demonstration of its capabilities.

The project is still in active development with several planned features including visual animations, keyboard event integration for push-to-talk compatibility, and CI setup. The codebase is relatively minimal, with installation and usage documentation marked as work-in-progress, and the project is distributed under the GPLv3 license.
