About gnembon/fabric-carpet
Fabric Carpet is a technical modification for Minecraft that gives players and server administrators granular control over game mechanics from a technical perspective. Built on the Fabric modloader, it supports Minecraft 1.14 and newer versions. The mod provides a suite of tools for testing and optimizing farms, including the ability to accelerate time with tick warping to simulate hours of gameplay in minutes, alongside detailed item production analysis through hopper counters.
Beyond farm optimization, Carpet Mod offers numerous quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. Players can use logging commands to monitor real-time server statistics like TPS and mob caps, enable pistons to push block entities like chests, and fix various vanilla quirks such as lead behavior and portal suffocation issues. The mod features a scripting language called Scarpet that allows users to create custom automation apps and extensions.
The project functions as an ecosystem with several companion projects. Carpet-Extra provides additional experimental features like autocrafting and enhanced dispensers, while the Scarpet app store offers community-created scripts. Quick-Carpet provides a minimal build for compatibility with newer snapshots, and developers can create their own extensions using the official extension template. The mod is available through standard Fabric installation methods and multiple distribution platforms.
