About invesalius/invesalius3

InVesalius is a free, open-source software for reconstructing three-dimensional medical images from sequences of two-dimensional DICOM files acquired through CT or MRI scanning. The application processes medical imaging data and generates 3D visualizations that clinicians and researchers can analyze and manipulate.

The software provides comprehensive tools for medical image analysis including support for multiple image formats (DICOM, Analyze, BMP, PNG, JPEG, TIF), advanced segmentation capabilities using threshold ranges and watershed algorithms, and 3D surface creation and measurement. Users can edit and annotate images with brush-like tools, perform linear and angular measurements, reorient volumes, and apply high-quality volume rendering with customizable presets and crop planes.

InVesalius is designed for cross-platform use, running on Linux, Windows, and macOS, and supports internationalization with interfaces available in ten languages including English, Portuguese, French, German, Spanish, and others. It can export processed images and 3D surfaces in multiple formats including STL, PLY, OBJ, VRML, and various image formats, making it suitable for medical professionals, researchers, and 3D printing applications.
