About hebron-george/shuffle_youtube_playlist

Shuffle YouTube Playlist is a web application that lets users combine multiple YouTube playlists and play them in randomized order. Built with JavaScript and React, it provides a frontend interface for managing and shuffling playlist content using the YouTube IFrame Player API.

The project is now deprecated in favor of a newer tool called Happy YouTube Watcher, though the original codebase remains available. It uses React Player to handle YouTube video playback and integrates with a backend service (also called Happy YouTube Watcher) to manage playlist data. The application is deployed via GitHub Pages, with automated deployments triggered on merges to the main branch through GitHub Actions.

The project includes error tracking through Honeybadger to monitor frontend issues and maintains a complete test suite. It's designed as a lightweight frontend application where users can configure API endpoints to connect to local or remote backend services for playlist management.
