Chulbong-kr (k-pullup) is a South Korean community platform designed for discovering and sharing locations of public pullup bars across the country. The application uses map-based APIs to allow registered users to mark pullup bar locations with photos and descriptions, creating a collaborative database of workout spots. Other logged-in users can comment on these markers, facilitating community engagement and information sharing.

The project is built with Go and Fiber v2 on the backend, supported by MySQL, AWS S3, Redis, and LavinMQ for messaging, while the frontend uses Next.js with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. The platform includes several sophisticated features such as proximity-based searches with initial consonant support for Korean addresses, regional and location-specific anonymous chat rooms, real-time popularity tracking of frequently visited pullup bars, and offline PDF map generation. It also incorporates a YOLO v8 AI model trained on 700 images for automatic pullup bar detection, content filtering with address validation and profanity detection, and a system for proposing information corrections on existing markers.

Beyond the core mapping functionality, the application demonstrates production-grade infrastructure with monitoring through Prometheus and Grafana, performance analysis using pprof and flamegraphs, and comprehensive API documentation via Swagger OpenAPI. The service maintains both a Go backend and a Spring Boot 3 backend implementation, with the frontend developed as a separate repository. Recent data analysis spans June through November 2024, and the project includes future roadmap items such as a community forum and organized fitness challenges.
