About pterodactyl/panel

Pterodactyl is a free, open-source game server management panel built with PHP, React, and Go. It allows users to run multiple game servers in isolated Docker containers while providing a clean, user-friendly interface for administration and control. The system is designed with security as a core principle, ensuring that each game server instance remains isolated from others on the same machine.

The platform supports a wide range of games including Minecraft variants like Paper and Sponge, Rust, Terraria, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and many others. The software includes a Wings daemon (written in Go) that handles container orchestration and server management, with comprehensive documentation available for both the panel and daemon components. An active community contributes additional game configurations and integrations, expanding the library of supported titles beyond the core offerings.

The project is geared toward hosting providers, server administrators, and anyone managing multiple game server instances at scale. Several commercial game hosting companies sponsor the project, and there is an active Discord community providing support and contributing custom extensions and themes through the Blueprint framework, which functions as a package manager for Pterodactyl customizations.
