About esx-framework/esx-legacy

ESX Legacy is the official core framework for FiveM, a multiplayer modification platform for Grand Theft Auto V. It serves as the foundational infrastructure for roleplay servers, providing essential systems and resources that enable server operators to build custom gameplay experiences. The framework is written in Lua and has become the de facto standard for GTA V roleplay communities, with over 12,000 servers reportedly built on top of it.

The project includes core resources and modules that handle fundamental server mechanics needed for roleplay environments. ESX Legacy is maintained by the ESX Framework organization and actively supported through community contributions and donor funding. The framework is backed by comprehensive documentation and an active Discord community, with additional resources available through the Cfx.re Releases board for developers looking to extend functionality beyond the core offerings.
