About webbukkit/dynmap

Dynmap is a real-time web-based mapping system for Minecraft servers that allows players and administrators to view their server world through an interactive web interface. The project supports multiple server implementations including Spigot and PaperMC plugins, as well as Forge and Fabric mods, covering Minecraft versions from 1.12.2 through 1.21.4. It offers flexible data storage options including flat files, MySQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and AWS S3, making it adaptable to various server setups and hosting environments.

The codebase is built with Java using Gradle and is designed to maintain compatibility across diverse platforms and configurations. The project supports both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures on Windows, Linux (x86 and ARM), macOS, and Docker environments, remaining pure Java to ensure broad compatibility. The development team maintains strict contribution guidelines requiring that all pull requests be tested across supported platforms and that contributors avoid platform-specific dependencies, language additions beyond Java, and conditional unconditional hosting requirements.

The project welcomes community contributions through pull requests and provides stable public APIs through DynmapCoreAPI and the dynmap-api library, which external plugins and mods can safely depend on. Support and discussion are available through the project's Discord community and subreddit, with source code available under the Apache Public License v2.
