About Prakash4844/Let-s-Learn-Linux
Let's Learn Linux is a beginner-friendly website designed to introduce newcomers to Linux and related topics. The site covers Linux basics, automation, bash scripting, POSIX standards, systemd, and other foundational concepts, making it an accessible entry point for people new to the operating system. The project is built with Hugo, a static site generator, and uses the Hugo Relearn theme to structure its educational content.
The website is currently live and can be accessed online, with content available in English and infrastructure in place for future translations to Hindi and German. Users can also run the site offline using Docker or by cloning the repository with Git submodules and running a local server. The original content was forked from LinuxJourney, and the project incorporates several open-source tools including the Hugo QuizDown extension for interactive quizzes and the Linux font for enhanced typography.
The project welcomes contributions from the community, with documented guidelines for contributors and a record of all who have participated. Development activity has slowed following the revival of the Linux Journey site, but the repository remains maintained as a learning resource for Linux beginners.
