Atom Material UI is a UI theme for the Atom text editor that implements Google's Material Design Guidelines. The theme provides a modern, dynamic interface designed to work seamlessly with complementary syntax themes, particularly Atom Material Syntax. The project was inspired by Mattia Astorino's Material theme for Sublime Text.
Users can customize the appearance through Atom's settings panel by selecting from different accent colors using a built-in color picker. The theme is compatible with multiple syntax theme variants including the original Atom Material Syntax as well as light and dark alternatives. Installation is straightforward through Atom's package manager or via command line.
The project is written primarily in CSS and is distributed under the MIT license. It includes contributions from multiple developers and offers additional resources like redesigned application icons available in multiple formats for different platforms.
